Six Prayers for Lent 2022
For the next 6 weeks leading up to Resurrection Sunday I will post a one-minute prayer on Sunday afternoon.
Six short prayers, less than a minute.
Six topics: Ukraine, Children, Widows, Poor, Leaders, Salvation.
I hope they will inspire someone to begin to pray or to keep on praying.
I am inspired by the women of my Monday night prayer group: Lori, Valerie, Bev, Elizabeth, Nyesha and Pam. Our time together has taught me that it is better to pray simply than not at all; it is powerful to pray with someone; it is necessary to pray that God will open our eyes to see the answers when they come (because His answers come in ways we do not anticipate or even recognize), it is freeing to know that He is at work even when we cannot see because that is His character, and it is important to praise Him for any evidence that He is answering our prayers.
Six minutes in six weeks to pray together.
Sunday, March 13th – Prayer for Ukraine.
Sunday, March 20th – Prayer for Children.
Sunday, March 27th – Prayer for Widows.
Sunday, April 3rd – Prayer for Poor.
Sunday, April 10th – Prayer for Leaders.
Sunday, April 17th – Prayer for Salvation.
